Dr. Robert D. Cunningham, a highly respected African American ophthalmologist, has made significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology throughout his career spanning over 40 years. Following in the footsteps of his father, Robert M. Cunningham, MD, he continues the legacy of their family business, which has been serving the community since 1968, when his father became the first Black ophthalmologist in New Jersey.
As a general ophthalmologist, Dr. Cunningham specializes in cataract and glaucoma surgery, and he is skilled in performing laser procedures. With a deep commitment to providing comprehensive eye care, he has dedicated his expertise to enhancing the vision and well-being of countless patients.
