Bio
Dr. Akhigbe is a board-certified Obstetricians gynecologist who practices the full spectrum of my specialty within Atlantic Medical Group in Hackettstown and Newton New Jersey. She graduated from John's Hopkins University where she obtained Bachelor of Art's degree in Natural Sciences: Public Health. Dr. Akhigbe went further to obtain a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Tropical Public Health and Communicable Diseases at the University of South Florida College of Public Health. She proceeded to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Meharry Medical College and completed her post-doctoral training at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate: Long Island College Hospital campus. She worked in New Jersey for close to a decade before moving back to Maryland to be closer to family.
Outside of medical practice, she is an avid traveler, she exercise regularly, loves to try out new recipes, does community outreach and loves spending time with family
