Bio
Dr. Lisa Moody was raised in Orlando, Florida. She had early exposure to the medical field as a result of caring for her older developmentally delayed brother. This early hands-on experience fueled her desire to pursue a career in medicine. She ultimately achieved a rewarding career as one of Atlanta’s top board-certified plastic surgeons. Dr. Moody enjoys the delicate and precise application of science and artistry required to produce stellar results. Her attention to detail has earned her praise from her patients and several academic accolades. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida earning her a full-tuition scholarship to medical school. She was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She is also the former president of the Student National Medical Association.
Dr. Moody has presented at numerous local, national and international conferences and lecture series. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Scientific Presentation Award by the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. She has also published numerous scientific papers and book chapters contributing to the advancement of plastic surgery.
Dr. Moody completed an additional 2 years of training at Stanford University specializing in microsurgical breast reconstruction and hand surgery. She worked with world-renowned plastic surgeons during her time at Stanford University.
