Glaucoma is my specialty within ophthalmology. Over the years, I have seen a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This gives me a unique perspective. My glaucoma patients are why I decided to specialize in glaucoma. I saw them often and developed a strong bond.
Although there isn't a cure, glaucoma can be managed very well.
This is a very exciting and innovative time in glaucoma. The development of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery has opened up many new options for treating glaucoma, several of which can be done during cataract surgery. We can discuss if you are a candidate for these procedures.
I'm concerned about each patient as a person and with their overall medical health. I give each patient my utmost attention. I also believe in educating my patients and really making them a part of their healthcare management. We work together as a team.
It's great to be a part of Ohio State. It is an amazing academic institution. We're always striving to develop new techniques to better understand and manage different types of glaucoma.
