Bio
Dr. Oluwateniola “Teni” Brown is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Northwestern University in 2021 following a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University.
Dr. Brown is at the forefront of multiple diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across Northwestern Medicine. She is the first Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also the Director for Diversity and Inclusion for McGaw Medical Center.
Dr. Brown’s clinical interests include the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and fistulas. Her research interests focus on disparities in treatment utilization and treatment outcomes for pelvic floor disorders, improving surgical outcomes for pelvic floor disorders, and bias in medicine and medical education. She is passionate about delivering quality, compassionate, and equitable care. Likewise, Dr. Brown believes in partnering with her patients to empower them and provide education and care plans that meet their individual needs.
