Bio
Gregory Scott Brown, MD, FAIHM, is a board-certified psychiatrist and director of the Center for Green Psychiatry. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston College of Medicine where he also serves as the psychiatry division director.
Dr. Brown completed residency in general psychiatry at the Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas and a fellowship in integrative medicine with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM). He received a doctorate of medicine from the McGovern Medical School in Houston, a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Rice University, and he completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-medical Program at Johns Hopkins.
While in medical school, Dr. Brown participated in a rotation on the adolescent residential treatment unit at Harvard's McLean Hospital and during residency, he completed an adolescent mental health track allowing extended exposure to diagnosing and treating mental health concerns in young people.
