Bio
Dr. Brittany Tarrant is board-certified in adult psychiatry and board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Tarrant completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. There, she discovered her love for the human brain and mental health and knew that psychiatry would be a great fit. She completed her master’s degree at Georgetown University and then her Doctor of Medicine degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She then set her sights on the sunny skies and warm weather here in Los Angeles and completed her general adult psychiatric training at UCLA. She trained at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she completed both her residency and fellowship. Dr. Tarrant is passionate about mental health and treating those who are often overlooked and forgotten in our society. Her clinical interests include treating a wide range of psychopathologies including psychotic and mood disorders, trauma, and special populations including people of color, women, children and young adults, gender and sexual minorities, veterans, and individuals involved in welfare and criminal legal systems.
