Bio
Anne L. Taylor, M.D., joined the Columbia University Medical Center in 2007 as Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and the John Lindenbaum Professor of Medicine in the Columbia University Medical Center. In 2014, Dr. Taylor was appointed the Senior Vice President for Faculty Affairs and Career Development for the Columbia University Medical Center.
A native of New York City, Dr. Taylor received her bachelor's degree from Hofstra University and studied cello at the Manhattan School of Music. She then completed medical school, an internal medicine residency, and a clinical cardiology fellowship at the University of Chicago, with cardiovascular research training at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Iowa.
Dr. Taylor began her academic career at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1984 as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of the Echocardiography Lab at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
