Bio
Dr. Felisa Gilbert joined the practice in 2007. She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National and Tennessee Chapters of the American College of Physicians.
Dr Gilbert is a native of Tennessee. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Los Angeles County - University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center.
As a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she has proven her commitment to continued learning and advocacy on behalf of children. In addition to her role as an Internal Medicine and Pediatric Physician at Tennessee Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Gilbert also provides her medical expertise as a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students and Medical Students. She has been a physician consultant to Schrader Lane Church of Christ and has done various speaking engagements and participated in health fairs to promote Health and Wellness. She currently serves on the newly founded Diversity Committee and the Physician Excellence Committee at Ascension St Thomas Rutherford Medical Center.
