Bio
Dr. Calvin Smith is a primary care physician with Meharry Medical Group. Dr. Smith is also an assistant professor and board-certified clinician in Internal Medicine at Meharry Medical College. He serves as the clerkship director for the 3rd year Internal Medicine Rotation. He also currently serves on the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Health and is a frequent guest contributor to NewsChannel 5’s “Morning Line” TV program with Nick Beres. Dr. Smith previously served as the clinical lead for the largest COVID testing site in Nashville.
Dr. Smith is a native of Southwest Atlanta. He is a graduate of Westlake High School and Morehouse College before completing his education and medical training at Meharry where he served as chief resident before joining the teaching staff.
In his spare time, he enjoys podcasting about movies and pop culture on The Open Tabs Podcast, cooking, and listening to live music.
