Bio
Dr. Bolanle Asiyanbola is a board-certified Surgeon at Meharry Medical Group. She performs surgical procedures at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, Tristar Centennial Hospital, and St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
Dr. Asiyanbola received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife, Nigeria. She completed a surgical residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, Yale School of Medicine affiliate in New Haven, CT., and then Advanced Specialty Training in Surgical Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Asiyanbola holds many professional memberships. She is a Fellow of the Society for Surgical Oncology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and member of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. She has also received several awards throughout her career, including the President’s Award for Academic Excellence at the Hospital of Saint Raphael.
She has volunteered her services with Remote Area of Medical Mission and other mission trips.
