Bio
Dr. Richmond Akatue is a primary care doctor who is board-certified and specializes in Internal Medicine. Dr. Akatue received his medical degree from the Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at what is now known as Nashville General Hospital at Meharry and served as Chief Resident. He earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at Meharry Medical College.
He is a member of several organizations, including the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, Society of General Internal Medicine and the Association of Program Directors of Internal Medicine.
In addition to English, Dr. Akatue is fluent in Bulgarian, Hausa and Twi Gurune. He is active in the community and his church.
