Bio
I am Shaleak Brown.
Originally from Gary, Indiana, I hold both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biology from Purdue University at Indianapolis. I furthered my education at Indiana University School of Medicine, completing their Master's in Medical Science Program before matriculating to Howard University in Washington, D.C., where I earned my medical degree.
My Residency training was completed in Flint, Michigan, where I had the distinct honor of providing care to a predominantly Black and Brown community during the city's lead water crisis. Delivering quality care and compassion to this community during a time of significant need was a deeply meaningful experience.
In 2017, I transitioned to Atlanta, Georgia, and have since been practicing Pediatrics with Kaiser Permanente.
I am deeply committed to providing high-quality healthcare to all my patients. I have a particular dedication to serving underserved and Black and Brown communities, where I find my greatest professional fulfillment. Additionally, I am passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation of aspiring Black and Brown physicians, offering assistance in their pursuit of medical careers. If you are seeking a dedicated physician for your child and your family, who is committed to providing consistent and compassionate care, I am available to meet your needs. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
